Look awake with the Blepharoplasty treatment

At La Sante Medispa, we offer the popular upper eyelid surgery known as Blepharoplasty. The procedure removes excess skin from the upper eyelids to open the eyes and create a brighter, more youthful look.

As the eyes are the focal point of the face, when the skin loses elasticity and begins to sag, this can lead to a tired and ageing appearance.

The procedure will be performed by our highly skilled Dr Soliman. With his expertise in the field, you will be in good hands and will leave the clinic looking revitalised and refreshed.

We generally recommend this procedure for middle to older age women and men looking to reduce the signs of ageing.

At La Sante, we offer a complimentary consultation with Dr Soliman who can assess your concerns and determine whether you are an appropriate candidate for the procedure.

As the procedure is a day surgery, blepharoplasty is performed using a local anaesthetic.

Dr Soliman will remove excess skin from the eyelid, tightening the muscles and restructuring the eyelid. The incision will be cut along the fold of the eyelid to make it less noticeable when the area is healing. The wound is sutured and will be removed after 2 days of treatment at a follow-up appointment.

The eyelid will heal between 5 – 6 weeks.

It is important to remember that Eyelid surgery will not drastically alter your appearance; rather it will offer you a brighter and more youthful appearance. Please arrange for someone to pick you up after your procedure, as you will not be able to drive directly after the treatment.

There are risks associated with the Blepharoplasty procedure. We offer a complimentary consultation where this can be discussed further. Though they are rare, we must ensure you are aware of potential risks.

After the stitches have been removed, you will be able to return back to work. The amount of bruising and swelling will vary depending on your skin, but this will usually subside within 7 – 10 days. Please refrain from wearing makeup over the treated area as this may cause infection. Wearing sunglasses and applying cold ointments and compresses will help to relieve swelling.
