Fuller, thicker brows La Sante’s eyebrow cosmetic tattooing treatment is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo procedure which enhances the natural shape and fullness of the brows.

By employing a range of different techniques, we can achieve different results from a natural enhancement of the shape and fullness of the brows to a more defined and enhanced look.

If you’re looking for low maintenance brows, this treatment may be for you. Cosmetic tattooing works best with patients who have normal to dry skin, as those with oily skin are at risk of the skin rejecting the pigment or pigment hydration, which is where the pigment fans into each other. This can result in blended, powder-filled brows and can potentially change the colour of the pigment.

An eyebrow mapping session is essential. This is where your artist will measure and balance your brows.

We will firstly take into consideration your bone structure and facial features before drawing on your new eyebrows. The procedure will compliment your unique, individual features and personal preferences.

A numbing cream will be applied to the area to help minimise pain, and a pigment colour will then be chosen to suit your hair colour and skin tone.

The results will last between 9 months – 2 years depending on how deep the pigment was placed, your skin type, the products you use at home and your lifestyle factors such as exercise and smoking. The pigmentation will fade naturally over time, giving you the flexibility to change the shape and shade of your brows.

We recommend avoiding tanning products prior to treatment, as the tan will affect the outcome of the healed colour.

If you are sunburnt you will need to reschedule your appointment.

Refrain from the consumption of alcohol or caffeine before the procedure (at least 24 – 48 hours for alcohol as it thins the blood and will affect pigment retention). It is also advised that you refrain from muscle relaxant, waxing, plucking, tinting and vitamin A cream for 4 weeks prior to your treatment.

Avoid Advil, Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, Fish Oils and/or Ibuprofen or other blood thinners unless medically necessary, 48 – 72 hours prior to your procedure. Taking these before treatment will cause unnecessary bleeding, giving you unsatisfactory results.
Filler injectable treatments should be done at least 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after the procedure.

Avoid exercising the day of the procedure; exercise opens the pores in the skin and increases circulation to nerve receptors, causing pain.

You may experience slight swelling, however, this will ease after 24 hours.

Your tattoo may appear dry or flaky 1 week after the treatment, so it is essential to moisturise the area regularly with the ointment/balm recommended by Dr Soliman or your skin practitioner. This will promote healing and prevent colour loss.

The initial colour will look darker and it may take up to 2 weeks to settle. After the first week, the top layer of the tattooed area will start to scab and fall off.

Limit any physical activity (such as swimming) or exposure to direct sunlight that might cause premature fading. All tattoos carry the inherent risk of infection and/or allergic reaction.

Does it hurt?

Some discomfort can be experienced throughout the procedure, however an anesthetic is used prior to the treatment and during as well.

How long will it last?

The results may last between 12-24 months, and depends on the client’s skin, lifestyle and ink used. It is recommended to have a touch up around 18 months.
