Dermal Fillers Sydney

Restore volume, enhance the natural beauty A treatment to restore balance and enhance facial features.

Dermal fillers work to enhance the lips, restore volume to the mid face, and help to refine the natural curves of the face, giving definition to the jawline.

Process

The active ingredient in dermal fillers (Hyaluronic Acid) is a natural substance found in the skin which helps to retain moisture, keep facial tissues plump and maintain a youthful appearance.

Dermal fillers are commonly used to enhance the lips and cheekbones and are also used to shape facial contours and smooth fine lines and wrinkles. There are a variety of dermal filler products that each serve a different purpose. The choice will be made during your consultation, based on the desired outcome and recommendation of Dr Soliman and your cosmetic nurse.

The process is performed within 15 minutes to an hour where the dermal filler is injected into the skin to restore volume and plump soft tissue. While effects can be seen immediately, this treatment is a temporary substance which is naturally and gradually absorbed, with results lasting between 4 – 12 months.

At La Sante, our experienced team are here to guide you on the best course for your concerns. We work with brands of the highest quality and credibility to protect your safety and satisfaction.

Preparation

In preparation for the treatment, Dr Soliman or one of our experienced practitioners will discuss your skin goals and expectations in your initial consultation. During this consultation, it is important for you to advise them of any allergies, whether you suffer from neurological disorders, or if you are taking blood-thinning medication. You may be instructed to avoid intake before the dermal filler treatment.

We advise you to avoid drinking alcohol 24 hours prior to treatment, and that you arrive with a fresh and clean face. For your own comfort, a topical anaesthetic or a local numbing medication may be applied.

Aftercare

Immediately after the treatment, aim to apply ice as frequently as every half an hour for the first few hours to decrease the chance of bruising.

We ask you to avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol consumption, strong heat or extreme cold and minimise sun exposure and exercise until the swelling has settled.

It is also recommended not to massage the product once it has been injected.

How do I know if this is right for me?
  1. As this is a medical procedure, you will be required to have a consultation with Dr Soliman. During this consultation he will ascertain your medical history, and determine whether this treatment is suitable for you. He will also advise whether this is the best course of action based on your concerns and expectations.
How long does the treatment take?
  1. You should expect the treatment to take roughly 30-60 minutes
How soon after treatment can I expect to see results?
  1. The results can be seen immediately, but dermal fillers need time to settle as they can initially cause swelling and bruising. The true result will be seen 3-5 days post treatment
How long do results last?
  1. Depending on the area being treated, and the amount being administered, results can last anywhere between 3-9 months
What should I expect post treatment?
  1. Avoid rubbing the injection site
  2. The treated area may be swollen and bruised, and this should resolve between 3-5 days post treatment
  3. Avoid strenuous exercise, and extremes of hot and cold for 48 hours post treatment
  4. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours pre and post treatment as this can encourage swelling and bruising
  5. Avoid anti-inflammatory and blood thinning medication for 24 hours pre and post treatment
  6. Avoid facials, waxing, chemical peels and laser treatments for 10-14 days after treatment
How are dermal fillers different to collagen stimulating fillers?
  1. Dermal fillers are made from Hyaluronic Acid gel and are absorbed by the body over a period of time. Whilst they provide volume, they do not stimulate any collagen production in the body.
