Skin Needling

Improve skin texture & tone A treatment designed to stimulate the skins self-repair process.

Skin Needling promotes cell renewal and improves skin texture and tone.

Skin Needling is a natural way to induce collagen and elastin production. This innovative treatment uses tiny needles to inflict controlled injury to the skin in order to stimulate cell renewal and improve skin texture and tone. Suitable for all skin types, Skin Needling offers anti-ageing benefits and effectively treats acne, acne scarring, stretch marks, pigmentation, enlarged pores, blackheads and fine lines and wrinkles.

To begin the treatment, our experienced skin practitioners apply a small roller made of tiny needles to the surface of the skin. The roller creates small perforations or ‘micro-channels’ that stimulate the skin’s self-repair process. This wound healing response is what promotes the formation of new collagen and elastin, which then assists with plumping out fine lines, wrinkles and acne scarring. When combined with PRP, the micro-channels created during treatment allow for deep penetration of the PRP into the skin, delivering powerful results.

Our highly qualified skin practitioners recommend 4 – 6 treatments at 4 – 5 week intervals for optimal results. We can discuss the best treatment for your skin type during your one-on-one consultation.

Avoid the use of anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen prior to, and immediately after Skin Needling to avoid interfering with the natural inflammatory process. Our skin practitioners will further advise you on how to best prepare your skin during your one-on-one consultation.

Following the treatment, you may experience greater sensitivity to the sun. Avoid excessive sun exposure, saunas and exercise for 48 hours post-treatment to help prevent adverse effects. We do not advise the use of sunscreen or any form of makeup containing active ingredients such as retinol, alpha-hydroxy, acids and Vitamin-C for at least 1 – 2 days after the procedure. Avoid the use of anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen that may interfere with the natural inflammatory process required for optimum skin rejuvenation.
