Laser Skin Resurfacing

An ultra pulse laser treatment which stimulates collagen.

La Sante’s Laser Skin Resurfacing treatment is designed to help minimise the signs of ageing, treat uneven skin tone and reduce hyperpigmentation. This technology uses ultra pulse laser energy which uses a scanning pattern to remove thin layers of the skin with minimal heat damage.

Unlike traditional resurfacing lasers which remove the entire top layer of the skin, La Sante has a fractional delivery method which creates pixel-sized perforations in the skin, leaving the surrounding tissue intact.

The preservation of undamaged skin between the perforations allows for faster healing, while the wound healing process promotes accelerated re-epithelialization, generation of new collagen, tissue regeneration and contracture of existing fibres.

The deep thermal effect of the pixel applicator stimulates collagen renewal, making it suitable for treating fine lines and wrinkles. This treatment is also successful in diminishing the appearance of scarring.

Process

Prior to treatment, we recommend that you visit one of our experienced practitioners to discuss your skin concerns and goals. Depending on your skin’s condition, the number of treatments required may vary.

Topical numbing cream will be applied before the treatment, and the procedure can last anywhere between 30 – 60 minutes.

Preparation

Before the procedure, we advise that you avoid taking any blood-thinning or blood-clotting medications approximately 2 days before treatment. Please seek medical advice from your doctor to confirm tapering off medication.

We also recommend that you avoid sun exposure for 2 weeks before the procedure, and use SPF 30+ before and after treatment.

Aftercare

Following the procedure, you may experience redness, tightness of the skin and peeling. This will subside within a few weeks.

Avoid the sun and any exposure to heat for 3 days after the procedure, and refrain from using products which include active ingredients as they may cause irritation.

If advised by Dr Soliman, apply the recommended laser recovery cream to aid the healing process.
