Process

Before your procedure, visit Dr Soliman for a consultation to identify the best course of action for you and your concerns.
The process is performed under local anaesthesia and will take roughly 60 minutes.
The procedure involves raising and realigning tissue beneath the skin by using a fine needle to loop fine threads under the treated area. The threads will be inserted in a transverse pattern and anchored to deeper layers of the skin, lifting skin which appears to be showing signs of ageing.
Over time, the threads will stimulate collagen renewal along the thread region. This natural healing process will increase lift and volume in the skin.

Preparation

We recommend that you avoid taking blood thinners or blood clotting medication 2 days prior to your treatment. Please be sure to consult with your GP to discuss tapering medications that may affect the treatment.

Aftercare

Following the treatment, we advise that you avoid

• Rubbing or massaging the treated area for 2 weeks.
• Opening your mouth too wide for 3 – 4 weeks as this may affect the healing process.
• Taking anti-inflammatory medications (Naproxen or Ibuprofen) for up to 7 days post-procedure.
• Alcohol and anticoagulant medicines including aspirin (unless prescribed for medical reasons) for 7 days.
• Blood ‘thinning’ vitamins C, A and E for 7 days.
• Extreme heat exposure and cold climates.
• Physical exercise for 7 days post-procedure.
• Radio Frequency (RF) treatments or heat-producing device treatments (laser, IPL, etc.) of the thread treated areas for at least 10 weeks.

You may feel a slight stinging sensation or pulling pains from the treatment, which will subside within 7 – 10 days.
