1. Don’t overuse any cosmetic products
Due to advance technologies, a lot of beauty products are now in the market. Mostly, these potions contains chemicals like alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), and salicylic acids. Nowadays, large number of women, may apply mixed cleansers, scrub, day and night cream and daily moisturizer. But what they don’t know is that, overuse of these cosmetic products may lead to both irritation and too much exfoliation that can result to exacerbation of the real existing problem. Those more prone to this are women with darker complexions. When their skin is inflamed and irritated, they are likely to have skin discoloration. So before applying anything on your face, refer to a doctor or any beauty therapist and follow their recommended beauty regimen.
2. Exercise
Generally, exercise may it be within 30 minutes to an hour daily will promote skin glow. This happens because blood flow is increased during any kind of exercise which results to distribution of nutrients to skin. But remember to take a shower after working out since oil and sweat can cause acne, inflammation of hair follicles , and heat rash.
3. Exfoliate
Applying exfoliating agents will help you remove dead skin cells. These results to unwanted fine lines being less noticeable plus you can have a skin glow. Another method in exfolitating is the use of microdermabrasion cloth.
4. Check your body for sudden growth of spots
Be cautious for any sudden growth of spots, bumps and moles. Always make sure to have it checked by a dermatologist. Never take any symptom for granted as skin cancer rates are high. Generally, people starting their teen years are predispose to cancer so it’s advisable to have a skin exam every 3 to 4 years especially to those high risk groups with family history of skin cancer.
5. Eat Healthy Foods
Other way of having a flawless skin is by having a well- balanced diet filled with fruits and vegetables. These fruits and vegetables contains antioxidants which help reduce damage brought by the sun’s rays plus it fight certain cancers, including skin cancer — are essential to your health.
6. Don’t wear makeup to bed
Most of us are aware of this but we tend to do it anyway. Make up like foundation, powder, blush on left the whole night can cause pores to clog and can lead to acne and folliculitis. So remember to wash it away with a mild soap before going to bed.
7. Handle pimples carefully
Avoid popping out pimples as this can worsen the problem and can lead to scarring and infection. You can choose to clean your face, apply a warm compress and an over-the-counter cream with a drying agent such as salicylic acid, sulfur, or benzoyl peroxide to speed up the healing process.
8. Get plenty of sleep
Sleep at least 6-8 hours a day to avoid aging process and under eye circles. Having enough sleep can help your body rejuvenate itself plus it can help your skin enable to replace the dead skin cells with new ones.
9. Drink plenty of water
Drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day will keep you hydrated. This in turn will help your skin look younger and radiant since water helps to moisturize skin, replenish skin tissues, and increases skin elasticity.
