Tina: Hi everyone. I’m Tina. Thanks for joining us.
Monica: We are the practice nurses here. We work alongside a very dedicated team spearheaded by Dr. Adel Soliman. So the reason that we wanted to talk to you guys today is because we are introducing an exciting new technology into the practice called FemiLift, which is an amazing new laser for all types of female health concerns. And over the last couple of months, we’ve been talking a lot with our clients about it, and we’ve been getting a lot of questions, queries, so we thought we’d just take a couple of minutes, jump online and let you guys know a little bit more about it.
Tina: Great. Let’s get right into it guys. So, as we age, obviously, every part of our body ages, but I think that most people don’t even realize is our vagina unfortunately also ages. So pre-menopausal and post-menopausal women can experience a physiological and hormonal changes that can lead to really uncomfortable symptoms such as vaginal dryness, thinning of the mucosal membrane, also, recurrent UTIs and other types of infections. They can also experience stress urinary incontinence, which is light bladder leakage during really simple things like coughing, sneezing, exercises, and it can really make the patient feel uncomfortable and embarrassed.
Also, as women age, and these changes take place, it can lead to painful sexual intercourse, which nobody really wants. So overall, leading to a really negative impact on their quality of life, and now, we have something that’s really great to help women with these issues, and it’s really quick and easy and very effective as well. Also, it’s not just post-menopausal and pre-menopausal women that experience these changes. Loads of our clients are telling us that after their children, if they’ve had them naturally and vaginally, their vagina’s never the same. They always say that. So, now, we have a really great solution to help these women as well.
How do we do it? So, basically, we use a laser that has been the gold standard for resurfacing of the face for a long time now. And now, we’re using that technology intervaginally, so we go into the vaginal canal, and we create micro-injuries in the wall of the canal, and then we allow your body then to heal the micro-injuries, creating new collagen, new elastin fibers as well, increasing blood flow to the area, and rejuvenating the mucous membranes, thereby eliminating this unwanted symptom that you were experiencing previously.
Monica: So, along with the internal rejuvenation that Tina’s just talked about, the technology, the laser also offers some external rejuvenation as well, which is great for depending on what your concerns are. We recommend three treatments spaced four to six weeks apart for best results, but believe it or not, you will see a marked improvement in your symptoms even after the first treatment, which is amazing.
